Welcome to SoraTrim — a fast and intuitive video trimming and editing application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app and related services.

By using SoraTrim, you acknowledge and accept the practices outlined in this policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the app.

We collect only the essential data needed to provide a seamless trimming experience:

• Account Information — Email, username, and securely hashed password. Optional Google/Apple sign-in.
• User Content — Videos, images, and audio you import. All processing is local; nothing is auto-uploaded.
• Usage & Device Data — Features used, crash logs, device model, OS version (anonymized).
• Payment Information — Processed exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant partners.
• Cloud Sync — Optional encrypted backup for project files. Disable anytime.

Your Content Remains Yours

We do not access, view, or use your videos for any purpose beyond the editing functions you invoke. No content is used for AI training or advertising.

We never sell your personal data or use your video content for advertising purposes.

We share data only in these strictly limited scenarios:

• With your consent — When you export and share videos to social platforms.
• Service providers — Trusted analytics, hosting, and payment partners under binding agreements.
• Legal requirements — If mandated by valid court order or applicable law.
• Business transitions — During mergers or acquisitions, with prior notice.

Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be shared publicly but can never identify you.

Local Processing

All video trimming and editing happens on your device. Raw footage never leaves your local storage.

Cloud Backup (Optional)

AES-256 encrypted storage. Delete cloud data anytime — removal within 30 days.

Security Protocols

• TLS 1.2+ encryption for all network communications.
• bcrypt password hashing with unique salts.
• Strict access controls and routine security audits.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may exercise:

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction — Update inaccurate account details.
• Deletion — Permanently delete your account and data.
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured format.
• Opt-out — Withdraw consent for cloud sync or analytics.
• Objection — Challenge processing under legitimate interests.

SoraTrim operates globally with infrastructure in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Cross-border data transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms.

Using our cloud services constitutes consent to international data processing where applicable.

We periodically revise this policy. Material changes trigger in-app alerts or email notifications. The "Effective" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after updates signifies acceptance.
